How to Customize Your BEETTAN Spray Tan with DHA DROPS
A darker glow, the BEETTAN way
When a client wants a darker sunkissed glow, start with a conversation about their desired result. BEETTAN does not teach percentage-based solution blending. This guide focuses on the published directions for using DHA DROPS with BEETTAN's Original and Rapid spray tan solutions.
Can I mix solutions or brands?
Do not use this guide as a recipe for blending different brands or mixing Original and Rapid solutions together. Those combinations are not covered by the DHA DROPS directions. The documented method for darker results is to add DHA DROPS to either Original solution or Rapid solution, following that solution's specific shower window.
Do not substitute another brand's booster or invent a percentage-based blend. For any combination outside these directions, ask BEETTAN for guidance before using it on a client.
Original solution + DHA DROPS
With BEETTAN SPRAY TAN SOLUTION (Liter), follow the DHA DROPS directions:
- Add 6 full droppers per Fuji 250 ml cup to give darker results.
- The client must shower in 8–12 hours.
Rapid solution + DHA DROPS
With Rapid Spray Tan Solution (LIter), follow the DHA DROPS directions:
- Add 6 full droppers per Fuji 250 ml cup to give darker results.
- The client must shower in 3–6 hours.
Keep the instructions with the solution
The dropper ratio is the same for both solutions, but the shower windows are different. Tell your client which solution you used and give them its corresponding shower window. These times apply to the DHA DROPS combinations described here; they are not alternate rinse schedules or a promise that final color development is complete at shower time.
The published directions do not provide alternate dropper amounts or blended-solution recipes. Follow the stated ratio rather than adding extra drops or extending the shower window to chase a darker result.
Understanding BEETTAN's Original solution
BEETTAN's Original solution instructions explain that the solution develops the client's own skin tone rather than coloring it with cosmetic bronzers. The brown color guide helps the technician see where solution is being applied; it is not a cosmetic bronzer. Set expectations around the client's desired tan outcome, not a percentage chart.
